Cybird Agrees to Acquire Airborne Entertainment

Tokyo, Japan, June 21, 2005 – CYBIRD Co., Ltd. (OTC, JASDAQ, stock code: 4823), one of Japan's preeminent mobile media companies and a pioneer in mobile content services, announced today that it has agreed to acquire Airborne Entertainment Inc., one of North America's leading mobile entertainment companies, in a transaction valued at approximately $90 million. The acquisition forms an unprecedented alliance between two of the mobile world's most successful and innovative content companies, with CYBIRD benefiting from Airborne's rich library of original and branded content and its strong distribution throughout North American wireless carriers. The deal also positions Airborne Entertainment, which becomes an independent subsidiary of CYBIRD, as a global force by leveraging CYBIRD's proven international vision and relationships.

"Airborne Entertainment has been extremely successful in creating and launching compelling mobile products based on some of the world's biggest brands as well as its own innovative original content," said Tatsuya Kato, Co-President of CYBIRD. "Airborne Entertainment understands the uniqueness of the mobile marketplace and the mobile consumer, and shares CYBIRD's commitment to convenience by delivering mobile content through strong carrier distribution, targeted multi-platform promotions and branded sales environments. Being part of the explosive growth of the North American mobile market is of strategic importance to CYBIRD and Airborne Entertainment's leadership positions us incredibly well in it."

Airborne's existing management team and staff will remain unchanged, including co-founders Garner Bornstein, CEO, and Andy Nulman, President, who will continue to oversee the growth and strategic direction of the company in concert with CYBIRD's global growth strategy. Bornstein commented: "There is a tremendous amount of harmony between Airborne and CYBIRD. As one of the top mobile media companies in Japan, CYBIRD understands the value of, and sees the enormous potential in, the business that Airborne Entertainment has built in North America. This acquisition also allows us to leverage CYBIRD's strong mobile technology platforms and distribution experience to expand our efforts all over the world."

Airborne Entertainment was founded in 2000 and has emerged as an essential force in wireless entertainment. With a wealth of content that spans wallpapers, ringtones, games, ringbacktones, lifestyle applications and video, the company has sold millions of its products and has created successful, ongoing mobile programs for such leading brands as MAXIM and Fox Television's hit series, "Family Guy." In addition to the company's deep and powerful distribution throughout North America's wireless carriers, Airborne Entertainment has been instrumental in creating integrated online destinations in conjunction with some of its major brand partners, making it increasingly easier for consumers to purchase and download mobile content.
